Bulgaria Property Investment

The Bulgarian resort of Bansko appears to be leading the way when it comes to establishing year round, strong tourism appeal meaning that Bulgaria property investment probably makes more sense in Bansko right now than anywhere else in Bulgaria.

The resort is already hugely popular with ski fanatics in the winter months but now millions of dollars worth of investment is being poured into the creation of everything from golf courses to hiking, biking and riding trails as well as luxury hotel and spa complexes all offering a range of summer holiday packages.

Proof of the fact that Bulgaria property investment is intense in Bansko and that the market is healthy is evident when examining the numbers of property investors drawn to the Bansko investment real estate market since 2003 and the increases the market has enjoyed in underlying property prices: -

In excess of 3,000 Britons alone have purchased investment properties in Bansko since 2003.

Property prices have risen by 25% annually in the past couple of years.

Prices are tipped to increase by at least 20% in 2006.

Visitor numbers are up by over 60% annually in Bansko proving that the popularity of the resort is built on solid foundations which means the potential for longevity in terms of investment success is probable for property investors.

Basically, for property investors drawn to Bulgaria as an emerging market on the brink of full EU membership Bansko could make the ideal location for further investment.

The resort has already received substantial investment into the improvement of facilities for skiers and a brand new gondola has been constructed allowing for swifter, easier access to the slopes.  Funding is now being ploughed into the improvement of the resort’s accessibility and basic infrastructure enhancement is to follow.

Ian Woosnam the celebrity British golfer has been contracted to design a championship 18 hole golf course in Bansko, the site chosen for the golf course is sheltered enough to allow for year round playing.  Golf hotels are in the planning stages that will feature outdoor pools and sundecks for summer holiday makers for example, and for those in search of an active summer or spring break Bansko has an abundance of activities for all ages, abilities and tastes already.

The fact that the resort of Bansko is actively leading the way and creating itself as a year round tourism destination means that investors who buy a well located and facilitated Bulgaria property investment in Bansko will be able to tap into year round demand for accommodation to let and naturally enough the improvement of the resort will lead to greater demand for property for sale in Bankso which will in turn hopefully push up the value of an investor’s real estate assets.
